Alison's Unmatched Guacamole Ingredients
Avocados - The perfect avocado is so important! Place the avocado in the palm of your hand and gently squeeze for a consistent slight give to it. It should also have a dark green skin to it.
Garlic- Add flavor and a pungent taste that pairs perfectly with avocados.
Himalayan Pink Sea Salt- Brings out the natural flavors of the guacamole while helping it stay fresh and vibrant.
Cilantro - We love cilantro and add it to any recipe that we can. For the guacamole, it adds a vibrant herb taste to the guacamole.
Grape Tomatoes - There are many tomato options, but we find that grape tomatoes pair the best with this recipe. They are available year-round and add color and sweetness. Added Bonus: They don't break apart as easily when you mix.
Lime- Did you actually think we forgot the lime? The lime adds the perfect acidity to the creamy avocado.
Red Onions (Optional)- We always love the sharp taste and crispy texture of the onion!
Parsley (Optional) - We always go with cilantro, but we know some people don't prefer it. Parsley offers a milder flavor for those who find cilantro too strong. Instead, switch parsley for the cilantro.

List of Ingredients
2 regular-sized ripe avocados (7–9 ounces each)
3 to 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
3 to 4 twists of salt
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
6 grape tomatoes, sliced into quarters
1 small lime (or ½ medium lime), freshly squeezed
1/8 red onion, finely diced (optional)
Step 1: Prep the Avocados
Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
Step 2: Smash!
Using a fork, mash the avocados to your desired consistency — chunky or smooth.
Step 3: Add the Fresh Ingredients
Add the minced garlic, chopped cilantro, fresh lime juice, salt, and red onion (if using). Gently fold everything together until well combined.
Step 4: Add the Tomatoes
To keep the tomatoes intact, gently toss them in and carefully stir to mix all the ingredients.
Step 5: Serve Immediately
Why wait? This fresh homemade guacamole is best served right away. Enjoy it as a guacamole dip with tortilla chips, spoon it over tacos or salads, or pair it with crisp vegetables. The possibilities are endless.
Storage: While best served fresh, any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. To minimize browning, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before sealing the container.

This easy guacamole recipe is the ultimate homemade guacamole — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly creamy — making it the best guacamole recipe for parties, taco nights, and simple weeknight dinners alike.
